Ask what Loomis holds about you

Updated 26 October 20262 minute read

Anyone can ask Loomis about the personal information it holds on them. You don't need an account, and it covers checks an organisation ran on you.

Send a request

Fill in the data rights form. Choose what you're asking for:

  • Access: send me what you hold about me.
  • Correction: fix something inaccurate.
  • Objection: stop using my data.
  • Restriction: keep my data but don't use it for now.
  • Deletion: erase what you hold about me.

Then say who's asking: the person it's about, a Loomis account holder, or someone acting on another person's behalf. Add your email so we can reply. If the request is about one Loomis Verify check and you have its ID, put it in the Check ID box.

Keep your usernames out of other people's searches

An objection can list your usernames or profile links, one per line. From the moment you send it, nobody can start a deep footprint (a Loomis Personal search across many sites) from those usernames or links. Accounts at them are left out of a deep footprint's report, including finished reports the next time they're opened.

A deep footprint started from your name, or from a different spelling of a username, still runs without the accounts you listed. This stays in place unless we reject your request. To help us see the accounts are yours, you can link to a post or bio on one of them that mentions the request.

What happens next

You get a reference number straight away. A person at Loomis reviews every request by hand and replies to the email you gave. There's no status page to check in the meantime.

If the form says you've reached today's limit, email hello@loomis.co.za instead.

If you have a Loomis account

You can download or delete your data yourself without waiting. See Download a copy of your data and Delete your Loomis account. For your rights in full, see Privacy.
