Our story

A company held together by one thread.

Why Loomis exists, who pays us, what we refuse to build, and where things honestly stand. It’s a short read, and every claim in it is checkable. The thread will keep you company. Its name is Loomi.

Go on. Pull the thread.

First: what this actually is

Loomis shows you your own public footprint: the profiles, posts and stray usernames the internet already shows everyone else. Then it keeps showing you, on a schedule.

Most people search themselves exactly once, at 2am, after something spooks them. Then never again. We built the opposite habit: a regular check-in, like glancing at a bank balance. Boring on purpose. Surprises are for birthdays.

02

It started at a church.

Real church. Real parents. They wanted to know one thing: that the coaches, camp leaders and Sunday-school volunteers spending time alone with their kids were who they said they were. The existing options were grim: invasive background trawls that treated a volunteer like a suspect, priced like enterprise software.

That bothered us in both directions at once. What happens behind your front door is nobody’s business. What you post on a public account is fair, checkable, and already visible to anyone who cares to look.

The front door

Closed. Nobody’s business but yours. Loomis never goes past it.

The public square

Posts, comments, patterns. Fair ground for a fair decision.

So we built for both truths. Professional, Guard and Creator show you your own footprint before anyone else reads it. Verifyhelps organisations look properly, with the person’s consent, when they genuinely need to: every finding with its source attached, and a human making the call.

Things we believe (that cost us money)

Four decisions we made on purpose. Each one makes the product harder to sell and easier to trust.

Belief one

You go first

You should see your footprint before any recruiter, date or in-law does. That's the entire point of the schedule.

Belief two

Good news isn't buried

Every check-in opens with what's working. The awkward stuff still gets its turn, right after the context.

Belief three

Every area keeps its shape

Work, social and public record each keep their own view in your dashboard. People are complicated; we let them be.

Belief four

Blanks stay blank

If a part of your dashboard hasn't run yet, it says so, plainly. No blurred teaser charts pretending to be insight.

04

How we make money (a short section)

You pay a subscription. The end.

Slightly longer version: the only person who can pay to see your dashboard is you. No ads, no data brokers, no mysterious “partners”. The free footprint check stays free because subscriptions pay the bills. If that maths ever changes, this paragraph changes with it.

05

The “no” list

Five product ideas we get asked about, and the same answer every time. Each one would sell. Each one stays refused.

N–01

We won't scrub the internet for you

No takedown service, no reputation laundering. We show you what's out there; the deleting, apologising or owning-it is all yours.

and never will
N–02

We won't hand out downloads

Your footprint isn't a PDF for someone's bottom drawer. It lives in your dashboard, current as of your last check-in.

and never will
N–03

We won't score you

No single number, no grade, no “trust rating”. You're a person, and we treat you like one.

and never will
N–04

We won't sell a peek at you

Nobody can pay us to look at your footprint. If your dashboard is open, you're the one who opened it.

and never will
N–05

We won't go past a login

Public things, or accounts you personally connect. That's the whole menu. Curiosity isn't consent.

and never will
06

One person. A lot of AI.

Loomis is a solo founder and a team of AI agents. The agents write most of the code, including this page, which they’d like you to know went through several drafts. The human reads every email, because there’s exactly one inbox for them to arrive in.

Is that a normal way to run a company? No. Does it mean nothing ships without one accountable person understanding exactly why? Yes. We’ll take that trade.

Where things honestly stand

We don’t cover every platform yet, and we won’t claim to. Loomis reads the accounts it can prove are yours, plus anything you connect yourself, and stops there. “We found everything” is a sentence you’ll never read here.

Built in South Africa, for South Africa first. POPIA is the spec we build against.

Your footprint is already out there. Read it first.

Thirty-ish seconds to start. Public sources only. Delete everything whenever you like. We’ll assume it wasn’t personal.

Prefer the fine print first? Terms and privacy are right here too.
