Which product is for me?
Loomis Personal is for you and your family. Loomis Verify is for organisations checking candidates or volunteers. Loomis Social is for businesses that want buyers to find them.
Do I need a plan to try Loomis?
No. The footprint scan and the findability check are free, with no sign-up.
What are picture credits on Social?
Every Social plan includes credits for AI pictures, and each model shows its cost first. Your own photos and all writing (posts, replies and plans) cost none.
How does pay as you go work on Verify?
You buy a pack of checks and use them when you need them. There’s no monthly fee.
Loomis Personal
Where does Loomis look?
Public social networks, forums, news sites and the open web, plus any account you connect.
Can someone else run Loomis Personal on me?
No. It only looks at you and the people on your family plan. Screening someone else is what Loomis Verify does, and only for a business purpose.
Will you remove things for me?
No. Loomis shows you where each thing is, so you can tidy or delete it yourself.
How do I delete my data?
In Settings, or email hello@loomis.co.za and we’ll do it.
What does Loomis Family look for?
Bullying, grooming, harmful content and signs of self-harm in the posts and comments on the accounts you connect. It also searches your child’s name the way a stranger would.
What happens when Loomis finds something?
You get an alert with how to talk about it. For the most serious kinds, you get a description and which account it’s on, not the words.
Does Loomis Family read my child’s messages?
No. Loomis doesn’t read direct messages. You don’t see your child’s feed, only alerts.
Does my child know what I can see?
Yes. Your child sees each alert once you’ve opened it.
Which accounts can I connect for my child?
You connect them on your child’s phone. Each platform sets its own minimum age, and Loomis only offers a platform your child is old enough for.
Does six include me?
Yes. Six people in all, you included.
Does Loomis delete or block anything?
No. It only tells you.
Loomis Verify
Does it replace criminal or credit checks?
No. It covers public social media only.
What do you remove?
Special personal information, such as health, religion or political views, is removed from every report.
Does Loomis tell us whether to hire someone?
No. Your team makes that call.
What if the candidate says no?
On a check that asks for consent, nothing runs, and the check goes back to your balance.
Can we check someone under 18?
No. Loomis Verify only checks adults.
Your data
Who pays for Loomis?
Customers, for plans and packs. There are no ads and no data brokers.
Where is my data kept?
On Amazon Web Services: the servers in Ireland, stored files in Cape Town.
An organisation checked me with Loomis Verify. What can I do?
Ask to see, correct or delete what Loomis holds about you with a data rights request, or email hello@loomis.co.za.
Loomis Social
Will Loomis replace my social media manager or agency?
No. It does the slow, repeated work, like drafts, pictures and scheduling, so whoever runs your social media spends their time on ideas and customers. That might be you, someone on your staff or an agency.
Should I use AI pictures or my own photos?
Your own photos, when you have them. People trust real pictures of real work most. AI pictures help with ideas, stand-ins and seasonal art, and you can swap in a photo at any time.
What is a picture credit?
Credits pay for AI pictures. Each model and setting shows its cost before you make one, and a bigger or finer picture costs more. Your own photos don’t use credits.
Does writing use credits?
No. Drafts, your brand brief and campaign plans are free to make on any plan. Each plan sets how many posts go out and how many replies Loomis drafts each month.
What if I run out of credits?
Writing, scheduling and posting carry on. New pictures wait until credits come back, as your use ages out of the 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day limits. Every picture you’ve made stays yours to use.
Will it post without me?
Only if you set a rule for it, like replying to kind comments. By default, an admin approves every post.
Which platforms does it work with?
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business Profile. Each draft is written for the platform it’s going to.
Where do the facts in a post come from?
Your approved brand or earlier posts. Anything else is flagged on the draft.
Can I connect Loomis to my own tools?
Not yet. A Loomis API, and an MCP connection for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, are coming.
