Each volunteer you add becomes one line on your roster and one check. You can add volunteers once Loomis has approved your organisation.
Ways to add volunteers
Open Add volunteers and choose how:
- One by one, in a short form.
- Paste a list, one volunteer per line: name, email, role, and whether they are 18 or older.
- Upload a CSV, using the template on the page.
Every way ends in a preview that marks any line with a problem. Only the lines marked ready are added, and nothing is sent until you confirm.
Asking for consent
Choose Ask each volunteer or Don't ask. If you ask, we email each volunteer a link explaining who is asking and why, and their check starts when they agree. The preview shows the exact email they get. If you don't ask, the check starts when you add them.
What it uses
Each volunteer uses one check at the Communities rate. If your plan runs out partway through, the rest aren't added. For plans, see Pricing.
What happens next
Volunteers waiting for consent show as Waiting for consent on your roster. When a search finds profiles that could be the person, the line shows Confirm profiles until someone says which are really them. When a check finishes, the line shows the date and when the volunteer is due again.
Verify for Communities reads public social media and web pages only. Keep running the criminal record and reference checks your organisation needs alongside it.
To nudge someone who hasn't answered, see Reminding a volunteer to give consent.
