What a Verify check reads
For a valid business purpose, such as a hire or a volunteer role, Verify reads an adult's public footprint and sets out behaviour indicators with the evidence behind each. It collects, organises and explains. People decide.
Verify reads public social media and the open web. It supplements the criminal, credit, qualification and reference checks your process already runs.

- Confirm the purposeBefore every check, you confirm a valid business purpose and that the person is 18 or older.
- Choose a consent levelRun on your business purpose alone, or ask for the person's consent. Loomis then emails them, and the check waits for their yes.
- Confirm the profilesLoomis finds candidate profiles. You include or exclude each one, or have Loomis suggest matches with its reasoning for you to review.
- Read public contentPosts, comments, repositories and videos, from confirmed profiles only. A search snippet is never treated as evidence.
- Redact, then reviewSpecial personal information, such as health, religion or political views, is removed before the report is released.
- Read the reportEvidence cards in source order, positives alongside areas for review, each linked to where it came from.

Public sources only. Verify uses none of the person's logins, private accounts or messages.
What every check includes
Redaction before review
Race, political association and other protected characteristics are removed before a reviewer sees the evidence.
Identity review
You confirm which profiles belong to the person. Excluded profiles are dropped before any content is read.
The person's own answers
With consent, the person says which profiles are theirs and can add their own. A profile they deny goes to review.
Positives alongside
Constructive participation and community contribution are reported next to any area for review.
Findings in source order
Evidence cards run by platform, then oldest first. Every indicator links to its source.
Deleted on your schedule
The person's information is kept for the retention period your organisation sets, then deleted.
Operator under POPIA
Your organisation decides who is checked and why. Loomis acts as its Operator under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act.

Verify can't be used for tenancy, credit or insurance decisions.
