A consent request can stay unanswered, run out, fail to arrive or get a no. Each one shows on the check's page in Checks, with what you can do next.
Reminding the person
While the request is open, the check's page has a Remind button with the person's first name. It sends them the same email again. You can remind someone once a day, after the first email has gone out.
When the link runs out
An unanswered link stops working on the date shown on the check's page, and the check reads Invitation expired. Choose Re-send to open a new check with the same details at the review step, so you can send a fresh request.
When the email can't be delivered
If the email can't reach the person, the check reads Could not be delivered. Choose Re-send, then correct the email address before you send again.
When they say no
The check reads Consent declined and nothing is searched. The person's page tells them we let you know, and nothing else.
For a while after a no, a new check on the same person has to ask for consent first. New check shows a note with the date this ends. If someone says no to your organisation more than once, you can't ask them or check them again until a later date, which New check also shows.
Taking a request back
To take back a request that is still open, choose Cancel check. The link stops working. When a check ends without a report, its page tells you whether it went back to your plan.
