On a Personal or Family plan, Loomis keeps reading the accounts you've confirmed as yours. Your dashboard stays current, and a check-in email tells you what changed.
What Loomis needs first
Loomis can only read accounts it knows are yours. Run your footprint and confirm your accounts, or connect them on Your accounts. Connecting an account lets Loomis read posts and replies the public can't see.
Your first check-in email goes out once Loomis has finished its first read of those accounts. Plan and usage in Settings shows where that first read has got to.
How often the email comes
You choose on the Check-in digest row in Settings, Notifications:
- Monthly: the next check-in comes a month after the last one.
- Every three months: it comes once a quarter, early in March, June, September and December.
- Off: no check-in emails. Loomis keeps reading your accounts, and your dashboard stays current.
The timing follows your last check-in, so the day of the month can move.
What a check-in covers
Each check-in email covers what changed since the last one: accounts newly found as yours, accounts that have gone, and new good points and areas for review in what you post. Something an earlier check-in told you about isn't repeated.
Loomis also looks for copy-cats: accounts that look like one of yours. When it finds one, it shows you the account and leaves you to decide what it is.
Choosing what Loomis reads
Each account on Your accounts has a Feeds Insights switch. Turn it off and that account stays on your list but stops counting towards your Insights. To take an account off your list completely, see Remove an old account from your footprint.
