Add someone to your Family plan

Updated 26 October 20262 minute read

Only the household owner can add members. Each member takes one of your household's seats, and Seats shows how many are in use.

Choose how much protection they need

Go to Add a member. The first question is the protection level:

  • Maximum protection (usually under 12): you also hear about early signs.
  • Standard protection (usually 12 to 15): you hear when something looks serious.
  • Light-touch protection (usually 16 to 18): you hear less, and only when it's serious.
  • Adult (18 or over): they connect their own accounts, and no flags reach you.

The ages are a guide. Pick the level that fits the person. You can change it later on their member page.

Tell us about them

Enter their full name and their own email address, which they use to sign in. For a child, add their date of birth. Supervision ends on a birthday, so Loomis needs the real date. Family only offers a child the platforms whose minimum age they meet.

How they join

Choose one of two ways. Loomis can email them a one-time link, and you get a copy to send yourself. Or you go through it together on their phone. Either way, they see the same screen with the same words, and they connect their own accounts. You never see or type their passwords.

An adult member gets their own sign-in and their own view, and can unlink anything without asking you.

Removing someone

Removing a member stops Loomis reading their accounts that day, releases their linked accounts and gives the seat back. Their flag history and reveal log (the record of what you opened) stay. Loomis doesn't tell them, so let them know yourself.
