A check shows what was public on the day it ran. Verify for Communities checks each volunteer again when their own refresh date comes round.
When a volunteer is due
Each volunteer's refresh date counts from their last finished check. The Annual refresh page states how often refreshes fall due. There is no single date for the whole organisation: refreshes spread across the year. Your roster shows each volunteer's next date, and Home tells you when refreshes are due.
Starting a refresh
Refreshes don't start by themselves. An admin or secretary starts them:
- Open Annual refresh. It lists volunteers due now, and those due in the coming weeks.
- Select who to include.
- Choose whether to ask for consent. If you ask, each volunteer's refresh starts when they agree.
- Choose the Start button, which shows how many refreshes you selected.
Each refresh is a new check and uses one check at the Communities rate. If your plan runs out partway through, the rest stay due. You can cancel a refresh until we start searching.
Volunteers left out
After you start, the page lists anyone who was left out and why: for example, no email address to ask for consent, or they declined your organisation's requests more than once.
Checking one volunteer early
To check someone before their date, open their record from Volunteers and choose Refresh early. For plans, see Pricing.
